After submitting Earth to reddit (/r/indieGaming and /r/gaming), I got some very interesting feedback. The most dominant one was that once you understand the twist, the game was pretty boring.
So I got an idea over the week-end and here is the new version of Earth with improved gameplay, less spelling mistakes, and more endings! And still in time for the competition.
You still need a recent version of Java to play the game and there is a sound effect when Earth communicates (the "roger beep" if you want to know).
I just found a bug that exists in both versions. When you move up + left with arrow keys you can't fire at the same time.
However when you move up + left with W and A you can fire at the same time.
I'm using WinXP with Java SE Ver. 6.17.

Interesting, I like the options and the presentation. This is on par with Passage or I Wish I Were The Moon. Excellent art game.
